Accor makes new luxury hire

Accor has appointed Maria Ashton as vice president development luxury brands Northern Europe.

Ashton joins from extended stay specialist Oakwood Hospitality where she was vice president of business development. Prior to this, Ashton spent 13 years with Hyatt Hotels throughout the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States.

Accor has a worldwide portfolio of over 270 hotels in the luxury space with another 130 hotels in the development pipeline.
