Brookfield explores Center Parcs UK sale – reports

Canadian investment giant Brookfield is reportedly eyeing the sale of Center Parcs UK, according to Sky News.

A deal could value the business at about £4 billion.

Center Parcs UK has five holidays villages in the UK and one in Ireland.

Investor interest in holiday parks has exploded in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic with a number of deals done over the last couple of years.

Last year, Blackstone bought Bourne Leisure in a deal reportedly in the region of £3 billion and US REIT Sun Communities agreed to buy Park Holidays for £950 million in November.

Sky News reported that investment banks had yet to be appointed to handle any sale and that Brookfield could potentially hold on to the business if it didn’t get an attractive enough offer,
Brookfield bought the company from Blackstone in 2015 for £2.4 billion.
