Marriott takes Residence Inn brand to Nordics with Core Hospitality deal

Marriott International is taking its Residence Inn by Marriott to the Nordics, signing a deal with Danish hotel operator Core Hospitality.

The first property will open in Copenhagen’s North harbour district. It is owned by PFA Properties and forms part of its Nordø development project. Construction began in the second quarter of this year and the property is expected to open in 2023.

“The introduction of the Residence Inn by Marriott brand in the Nordics reinforces the demand we’re seeing for international hotel brands in the region and for the longer stay market,” Axel Steinbach, Director of International Hotel Development, Nordics, Marriott International, said. “We’re delighted to work with Core Hospitality to bring this key project to Copenhagen.”

The hotel will cater to both leisure and business travellers and is expected to have 95 apartment-style suites with separate living, working, and sleeping areas.
