Spain to demand negative test

Visitors to Spain from countries designated high risk by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control will need a negative Covid-19 test to enter.

All countries in Europe, with the exception of Finland, Norway and Greece, are currently classified as high risk.

Health Minister Salvador Illa said: “We will ask the airlines to collaborate and check for travellers’ PCR tests before boarding. “We’ve been fighting for it for six months. Too long. Now the Madrid region and the rest of Spain will be safer.”

There will be no testing at the land borders.
