Thomas Cook hotel brand relaunches

Fosun Tourism Group is relaunching Thomas Cook’s millennial-focused hotel brand Cook’s Club.

The Chinese company, which also owns Club Med, bought the brand along with a number of assets following the collapse of Thomas Cook Group in 2019. It has since relaunched Thomas Cook as an online travel agent.

The brand has nine hotels in its portfolio located across Europe and North Africa, including Turkey, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria and Egypt. Eight Cook’s Club properties will be operating this summer, with a new opening, Cook’s Club Ialysos Rhodes, confirmed for 2022.

“We’re delighted to instigate this new era for the Cook’s Club brand, re-designed for a new generation of traveller. This is an exciting time with two hotels re-joining the brand this year in Greece and Turkey, two of the UK’s most popular summer destinations,” Alessandro Dassi, managing director of Fosun Tourism Group, said.
