Thomas Cook signs hotel distribution deal with YouTravel

Insight Comment
The current incarnation of Thomas Cook is a very different beast to its predecessor. This deal should help it add scale to its hotel offering.

The reborn online-only travel agent, Thomas Cook, has signed a partnership with YouTravel, the online distributor of Meeting Point International hotels, part of the FTI Group.

The deal will give Thomas Cook’s customers access to more than 20,000 hotels including the travel group’s MP Hotels portfolio.

The Dubai-headquartered beach specialist accommodation provider has exclusive access to the MP Hotelsgroup which has 62 3-5* properties across the Mediterranean.

Thomas Cook has integrated the bedbank into its digital platform to give its customers access to brands including Labranda, Kairaba, Design Plus, Lemon & Soul and MP Hotel collection of hotels.

The new Thomas Cook launched in September 2020 following Fosun Tourism Group’s acquisition of the Thomas Cook brand and associated digital assets in November 2019.
