UK moots inbound test

Inbound visitors to the UK were expected to be required to show negative Covid-19 tests on entry.

The move would be in line with demands from the travel sector since the start of the pandemic.

Prime minister Boris Johnson said that the government would be "bringing in measures to ensure that we test people coming into this country and prevent the virus from being readmitted”.

The requirement was not expected to apply to UK nationals.
