Virgin Hotels outlined the opening of 5 new locations in the next two years, including its first property in Europe.
Three properties are set to open across the U.S. this year, the first being the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas located just off the Las Vegas Strip, followed by Virgin Hotels New Orleans in the summer in the city’s Warehouse District, and Virgin Hotels New York City in the NoMad neighbourhood in the Autumn.
Originally scheduled to open in 2020, Virgin Hotels’ first European property is now due to open in 2022 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The hotel is currently under construction in the historic India Buildings on Victoria Street, near the city’s Royal Mile. Virgin Hotels is preserving notable elements of the building, adding ‘a sense of style and sophistication to bring a truly Virgin Hotels feel to the property’.
Virgin Hotels Miami is slated to open in 2023, developed by Blue Jay Capital with Blur Workshop as the architect.
All properties will include multiple dining and drinking outlets, including the brand’s signature work-and-play space and culinary experience the Commons Club.
Virgin Hotels' development team is currently exploring new opportunities for expansion including in the U.S, U.K., France and, Spain.
