Voco for Vietnam

IHG Hotels & Resorts will expand its Voco brand to Vietnam after signing an agreement with Tuyet Lien Son Co to launch the first opening under the Voco brand in South East Asia.

The 290-room hotel includes one of the city’s only rooftop bars with a true 360-degree view of both the ocean and the city.

Serena Lim, VP, development for IHG, South East Asia & Korea, said: “It’s fantastic to debut the voco brand in Vietnam with such a passionate and committed partner in Tuyet Lien Son Co Ltd. Voco has quickly expanded around the world and we are seeing increased interest in it across South East Asia. As a brand, Voco presents an opportunity to access the upscale segment fast, backed by the power of our IHG enterprise and systems.

“With the increasing development and sophistication of Danang, we felt this was the perfect time to introduce a youthful and playful brand into the market. And, with Vietnam’s strong growth trajectory, we are confident that Voco will continue to expand to other locations as a core upscale offer of IHG Hotels & Resorts"

Nguyen Tuyet, deputy general director, Tuyet Lien Son Co added: “We built this hotel with a vision to give guests a fantastic lifestyle experience through which they can truly be themselves. Guests should have a fabulous time, feel the energy of love and happiness when they stay with us. This was epitomised in the ‘Ma Belle’ personality that I sought for the hotel, inspired by the Vietnamese mature woman who is confident, sophisticated and warm and who carries the positive energy of youth, love and peace.  I looked at a number of brands, looking for something unstuffy but charming, modern and welcoming – and Voco perfectly fit.  The brand was able to adapt to our vision while also enhancing it via its distinctive brand hallmarks, something I truly treasured.

“We have put our trust in IHG to turn the concept into a reality, and we know they will help us deliver our vision. Together, we can provide lasting memories for guests from across Vietnam and around the world."
