Abbas Rangwala is Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at InterGlobe, the holding company of IndiGo Airlines and InterGlobe Hotels, and a global travel focussed conglomerate with interests across hospitality, real estate, technology and business services. In addition to its existing India portfolio of ~30 hotels, InterGlobe has built a sizeable portfolio of 14 hotels internationally through successful acquisitions in key markets, especially across Europe.
Abbas has over 20 years of strategy, business development and global investments experience. He has been instrumental in InterGlobe’s expansion through hospitality acquisitions and re-positioning in Europe. He leads important strategic initiatives and manages the group's various investments, globally.
Abbas has previously held senior roles covering investment banking, capital markets and structured finance at Citigroup and Deutsche Bank, based in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Abbas’ academic qualifications cover commerce, economics, accounting and software engineering. He has also completed the Advanced Hotel Real Estate executive program at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, New York.
