Five different firms are reportedly in the running to buy the Butlin’s chain of holiday camps from Blackstone-owned Bourne Leisure.
Sky News reported that the group of interested parties included: Terra Firma, Queensgate, Bain Capital, Epiris and TDR Capital.
Butlin’s operates three resorts in the UK, located in Minehead, Bognor Regis and Skegness.
Blackstone bought Bourne Leisure, which also includes the Haven and Warner Leisure Hotels brands, in early 2021.
According to Sky News Blackstone decided to offload Butlin’s because it did not fit with the rest of the group.
