Scandic Hotels

SCANDIC is the largest hotel company in the Nordic countries with more than 280 hotels, in operation and under development, in more than 130 destinations. SCANDIC Hotels is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
The company is the leader when it comes to integrating sustainability in all operations and its award-winning Design for All concept ensures that SCANDIC hotels are accessible to everyone. SCANDIC is a pioneer within CSR and most of our hotels are certified according to the Nordic Ecolabel’s new requirements.
Well-loved by guests and employees, the SCANDIC Friends loyalty program is the largest in the Nordic hotel industry and the company is one of the most attractive employers in the region.
Our business idea is to manage hotels within the mid-market segment. Close to 70 percent of our revenue comes from accommodations and 30 percent from conferences and food and beverage operations. Our customer offering is popular among business and leisure travelers as well as people who visit us just to eat, work or socialize.
94 percent of SCANDIC’s hotel portfolio is made up of leases and 84 percent of these have variable rents based on the hotels’ revenues with a shared investment commitment between SCANDIC and the property owner.
SCANDIX’s experiences with its six hotels in Germany and Poland have been very positive and is now set to expand its hotel network further in Germany, particularly in the largest cities and strategic regional areas. A new SCANDIC hotel is expected to open in 2023 in Frankfurt as a part of the new “Hafenpark Quarter”. With 505 rooms it will be one of Frankfurt´s largest conference and event hotels. Another SCANDIC Hotel is also opening 2022: The lifestyle hotel with 293 rooms will be part of the new urban development project “Macherei” in Munich.
