SH Hotels & Resorts, the operator of the 1 Hotels, Treehouse and Baccarat brands, is looking to grow across Europe with the launch of a European corporate office.
To spearhead the expansion, Robert Koren is joining the company from Belmond as senior vice president and area managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In this role, Koren will oversee all aspects of SH’s operations, including development, and owner relationships. He will oversee operations for Treehouse Hotel London and Skt Petri Copenhagen (converting to 1 Hotel Copenhagen in 2025); the soon-to-open 1 Hotel Mayfair and Treehouse Manchester as well as openings for the company’s pipeline of new properties including Baccarat Rome, Baccarat Florence, 1 Hotel Elounda Hills, 1 Hotel Paris and all three brands’ new builds in Riyadh. The company will be doubling its portfolio over the next 3-5 years with several new projects to be announced shortly.
