Accor to open slew of premium, midscale & economy hotels in H1 2024

Accor is set to significantly grow its European footprint in the first half of 2024, adding 11 hotels to its Premium, Midscale and Economy division.

The hospitality group says it plans to build on its presence in the region – which includes around 3,000 premium, midscale & economy hotels across over 40 countries – through the addition of hotels in France, Italy, Poland, Georgia, Romania, Belgium, Germany, Latvia, Iceland and the UK.

Its pipeline includes 176-room Novotel Tbilisi Center and ibis Styles Batumi both in Georgia, 126-room Mercure Roma Cinecittà, 179-room  Mövenpick Wroclaw in Poland and 227-key Novotel Hamburg Central Station. Accor will also open 65-room Maison Hamelin Hotel, the first hotel under the Handwritten Collection brand to open in Paris as well as 412-key TRIBE Manchester Airport, the second TRIBE property in the UK.

As at December 2023, Accor’s Premium, Midscale and Economy division had a development pipeline of more than 350 hotels in the combined Europe and North Africa region.

Separately, Accor said it’s also pursuing growth in the luxury and lifestyle segments, with key openings in 2024 to include Hyde London City, SLS Barcelona, The Hoxton Vienna, 25hours Hotel Paper Island in Copenhagen, Fairmont Golden Prague in the Czech Republic and Fairmont La Hacienda in Costa Del Sol, Spain.
