Sustainable returns in leisure

The opportunities in the resort and residential market have have remained strong throughout 2022 and we've reported on the demand from all stakeholders in the industry, including investors, developers, owners, and operators, especially for the all-inclusive and branded residential segments. 
At this year’s Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum, this sentiment was reinforced by the content from our sessions and our roundtable discussions with owners and operators reporting this summer as one of their best seasons even pre-pandemic. 
While there have been challenges in the macro-economic environment, consumer demand is strong and consumer behaviour has changed. We’re now seeing from the data that a leisure break is no longer considered a discretionary spend but rather an expectation. 
We heard a lot of enthusiasm from delegates this year about the R&R experience, conducting business meetings and creating opportunities in a relaxed environment enhanced their productivity and decision making.
