Apollo in the hunt for Parkdean Resorts

US investment giant Apollo Global Management is interested in taking over the UK’s Parkdean Resorts, according to Sky News.

The private equity firm is believed to be one of the company’s picked by Parkdean’s owner Onex Corporation to progress to the next round.

Investor interest in open air hospitality businesses such as holiday parks has increased in recent years with a number of substantial deals.

US-based Sun Communities bought Park Holidays for £950 million in November 2021 and earlier that year private equity firm CVC Capital Partners invested £250 million in Away Resorts.

Parkdean resorts was formed in 2015 from the merger of Parkdean Holidays and Park Resorts.

Apollo and Parkdean declined to comment to Sky News.
