Barceló Tenerife hotel reopens after €8.6m renovation

Blackstone-owned Hotel Investment Partners (HIP) and the Barceló Hotel Group have reopened the Barceló Tenerife hotel after an investment of €8.6 million repositioning.

The hotel is located in the south of the island, on the seafront next to the San Blas Environmental Reserve, a privileged location that has marked the entire transformation process in such a way that the establishment blends into its surroundings.

The 331-room property has moved up to the 5-star category. After the renovation, 59 rooms have been upgraded to the Royal Level category with exclusive facilities and services.

Likewise, the common areas have been remodelled and the F&B offer expanded with the creation of two new à la carte restaurants and three bars.

The hotel, with direct access to the beach, has seven outdoor swimming pools, one of which is heated all year round, surrounded by gardens and water fountains, a kids club, a wellness centre and a complete gym.

Hotel Investment Partners’ strategy is to consolidate and reposition of all its assets. It recently bought the METT Marbella Estepona hotel from the Mazabi family office for an undisclosed amount.
