Gerald Eve hires Marcus Kinsella to hotel team as partner

Gerald Eve has hired Marcus Kinsella as head of hotel operational agency and partner of the property consultancy firm.

Kinsella has twelve years of industry experience, over nine years of which focused on the hotel operational transactions and development market.

He has worked on deals including the sale of Bow Street Magistrates Court, now the Nomad Covent Garden, for which he acted on behalf of private clients. He also sold a consented hotel site in Victoria for 4c Hotels to City ID and The Premier Inn in New Marlborough Yard, which comprised a forward funding sale to LaSalle.

Earlier this year, Gerald Eve was acquired by US-based full service commercial real estate services business, Newmark Group.

What they said

John Rodgers, head of capital markets at Gerald Eve said: “Marcus’ experience in off-market disposals and acquisitions in London will be instrumental as we enter the post-pandemic period where demand for travel and hotel developments increases. Our team and recent addition offer best-in-class advice tailored to all market conditions and changes.”

Will Kirkpatrick, head of Hotels & Extended Stay at Gerald Eve added: “The Gerald Eve Hotels & Extended Stay team is known for its expertise, forensic analysis and forward-thinking approach. We expect Marcus’ experience and specialist knowledge to enhance our prime central London offering to luxury hotel operators and the extended stay market.”
