Hotel Investment Partners-owned Barcelo Benidorm Beach has reopened its doors following a €27 million renovation programme.
Located on Levante Beach, the 264-room hotel has undergone a renovation of all its facilities, going from a 3-star to a 4-star hotel. The hotel also comprises a buffet restaurant specialising in Mediterranean cuisine, a new La Santa María Gastrobar which is a gastronomic project by Barceló Hotel Group, a lobby bar, a rooftop bar, a fitness area, a swimming pool and a solarium.
Why it matters
This renovation forms part of HIP’s strategy to invest over €600 million in the renovation and repositioning of hotel assets, especially in a period where ground up development remains prohibitively expensive and luxury hotels continue to command higher and higher ADRs.
